If you have cover for yourself only under a public liability policy then you will need to contact us if you take on staff as you will need to add employers liability insurance to your policy. If you already have this cover under a combined liability policy then you don't need to contact us. As long as you have given a good estimate of your turnover and wages at the start or renewal of your policy you will not need to do anything. Will I have to pay an additional premium at the end of the year?
No. Whilst some insurers issue a declaration at the end of the year, our insurer, Hiscox don't. Policies arranged on a declaration basis require you to declare your wages and turnover for the period of insurance you have already had and then pay an additional premium if your figures have exceeded the figures you estimated. We don't require declarations and will not ask you for any more money for the period of insurance you have already had.Can I pay by direct debit?
